Immanuel Baptist Church is a historic, independent Baptist church in St. Paul. We are dedicated to sharing the gospel, teaching the Bible, and living it out in our city and our daily lives.
We gather each week to worship, study God's word together, and care for one another — just as the congregation has done at this corner for generations.

More than a century of ministry

A Sunday school begins
The work that would become Immanuel began as the Fort Street Baptist Mission Sunday school.
The church is organized
The congregation was formally organized as a church, committed to the Scriptures and to gospel ministry.
Home at Watson & West 7th
The church moved to the corner of Watson Avenue and West 7th Street, where it has stood ever since.

We continue to gather, worship, and hold forth the word of life in St. Paul.

Our building has stood at the corner of Watson Avenue and West 7th Street since 1913. For more than a century, this congregation has been part of the life of the neighborhood — a steady presence in St. Paul.
